Oh sure…we’d all like a cajun microwave like Al Simon sells. But if you’re like me, a rig like that just isn’t in the budget. And…I like building things myself anyway and I love to cook. I searched for some cajun microwave plans, and really didn’t find much. I saw pictures, but no one really explained how to make one? So I thought I would take the information I have, and set out to build my own, and document it so others can build their own as well.

My plans can also be thought of as “pig roaster plans” or “hog roaster plans”. Of course you can cook lots of other dishes in the cooker as well.

If you’d like to see the plans I put together, please enter your name and a valid email address in the form to the right.

If you don’t want to download the plans, but would rather have a hard copy of the plans mailed to you, please see this page for details.

Several people have said they didn’t get the plans after they signed up. This is an automated process so I can’t explain “why” they don’t get the plans. But if you have any trouble at all, please use the contact form at the top of the page and let me know you are having trouble and I’ll send them to you myself.

Need a material list? Try this page…

Have you got a plan you’d like to share with others? Let me know and we can post it out here. Got a picture of a cajun microwave that you built? Send it to me and I’ll be happy to post your picture.

I NEED YOUR CAJUN MICROWAVE RECIPES!

If you have a favorite recipe you don’t mind sharing with others, please use the contact form and submit to me. I am creating a page just for recipes. PLEASE HELP! If you want me to, I will happily include your name and link to your website, (if you have one), for anyone that shares their recipe.

If you haven’t seen a copy of the pig roaster plans (Cajun microwave plans), that I’ve been giving away, you might be unaware that I originally used a stainless steel sink as my “fire pan”. I was trying to build my roaster really cheap, and I had an old sink laying around…so I thought, why not?!?!

Well…I decided to upgrade to a better looking and better performing fire pan. The new pan is 20 inches wide by 40 inches long and 3 inches deep. This gives me a lot more area to place the charcoal or wood so I can get more heat spread more even in the box.

Having a nice, evenly distributed heat in the pig roaster is what these cookers are all about.

I hope to post pictures very soon.
